What We're About
Look, we're not gonna pretend architecture's just about making pretty buildings. Yeah, aesthetics matter - but what really gets us out of bed in the morning is designing spaces that actually work WITH the environment instead of against it. We've spent the last decade proving that sustainable doesn't mean boring, and modern doesn't mean wasteful. Every project's a chance to show that you can have both beauty and responsibility. Our clients come to us 'cause they want something different - something that'll still make sense in 50 years, not just next season.
Our Journey
2014
Started in a converted warehouse space with just three of us and way too much coffee. Maya had this vision that Vancouver needed architects who actually cared about the climate crisis, not just talked about it at conferences.
2017
Won our first major commercial project - a net-zero office building in Gastown. That one put us on the map and proved sustainable design could compete head-to-head with conventional builds on cost.
2019
Expanded the team to 15 people and moved to our current West Hastings studio. Started our heritage restoration division 'cause honestly, there's nothing more sustainable than reusing what's already built.
2022
Launched our urban planning consultancy after realizing individual buildings are great, but we needed to think bigger - whole neighborhoods, transit-oriented developments, that kind of scale.
2025
Now working on projects across BC and consulting internationally. Still based in Vancouver though - this city's always gonna be home. We're 23 people now, each one bringing something different to the table.
